CIS became the technological reference for the study, the design, the development and implementation of optical fibers and copper products for the telecommunications networks, based on the experience gained through collaboration with the main telephone operators.
CIS offers a complete service, which includes research, design, development, prototyping, production, testing, transport, installation and maintenance.
When producing our mechanical and electronic products, we use the latest generation Industry 4.0
machinery.
CIS has filed more than 200 patents, including the exclusive FLOATING® SYSTEM for the setting of optical fiber cables. This system uses a forced flow of water to guide the cable inside the tube, ensuring a uniform and well distributed setting. Through our system, about 16,000 km of cables have been set for the main Italian and foreign operators.
It is because of these achievements that the International Telecommunication Union has drafted the provisional recommendation L.61, based on CIS' own bibliography.

Thanks to cutting-edge application software, virtual models are designed and prepared for a first effective preliminary evaluation of the performance and functions of the new product, allowing the creation of the prototype to be tested with minimal and almost non-existent uncertainty.
When necessary, our design techs actively participate in the different activities regarding the installation of new products. from the early stages, with an obvious and significant advantage in the evaluation of the chosen solutions, to the final development and management of following projects. CIS is also able to support the customer in the creation and drafting of technical specifications and testing standards, thanks to the use of laboratories which are specifically equipped for all the tests required.

Installation activities
CIS is able to install and test directly at the operators' locations its own products, equipment and technology systems of other suppliers in the telecommunications and energy fields, employing highly specialised technicians.

Four installation teams in the north-west area, two installation teams in the north-east area, four installation teams in the central area, four installation teams in the southern area, one installation team in Sicily, one installation team in Sardinia.
